Inspired by the podcast Just Break Up by Sam Blackwell and Sierra Demulder, I created a stop motion video from a piece of advice given on the podcast using the hosts words. The story begins with diving into the artist eye answering the question - who am I? am I enough? - two questions that can often cross the mind of an artist. We see the colored pencil strive to find it's place, in the plants, in the fridge, in the jar of markers and even just on the table but the hand of other's continues to interrupt it putting labels on it such as 'can't grow', 'gross', 'doesn't belong' and 'broken'. Finally, the colored pencil shakes off the labels, sharpens itself, and write's the sentence 'you are good' with its own self.
