Inspired by the 'Just Break Up' podcast hosted by Sam Blackwell and Sierra Demulder, I produced a stop-motion video based on advice from the show. The narrative begins with an exploration of an artist's self-identity, delving into common questions: 'Who am I?' and 'Am I enough?' These are often on an artist's mind.
The story focuses on a colored pencil's journey to find its place, whether amidst plants, in a fridge, among markers, or simply on a table. However, interruptions from others result in putting labels on it such as 'can't grow,' 'gross,' 'doesn't belong,' and 'broken.'Eventually, the colored pencil sheds these labels, sharpens itself, and writes 'You are good'.
